Completely Jealous

I am completely jealous of my parents who are in Utah visiting my sisters that live there. I miss and love my sisters more than I could tell them. I haven't seen them in years...I mean like 2 years or so! I would have loved to been able to go with my parents to my nephew's baptism. I could have even visited so many of my old friends from Ricks. I love this blogging, it has helped me find my old friends from college that I have missed and only seen in old pictures of crazy and wonderful times. We all have different lives now and families of our own, but still have our faith in the Lord. I miss you all dearly and am so glad I get to watch your families grow and still feel apart of each other's lives even over 2000 miles apart. I am thankful my parents sending me to Ricks and for the friendships and changes it made in my life. I could never tell my family how thankful I am for them and how much it means to me to have their support and love.

First Time

These are the first of Mackenzie's "School" Pictures. She didn't smile and had a look of you want me to do what? At least her eyes aren't all red and and wasn't crying. She kinda looks cute to me.

Okay so I was right

Okay, so the fever lasted only till Friday. She has had good times and bad times this weekend. She has become attached to her baby and to me, still. She will not let anyone touch her. But I have found the source to the problem with her fever and crankiness...she is getting more teeth. Her top teeth beside her eye tooth has broken the skin..thankfully she will not be in preschool with no teeth. I was starting to get a little concerned. As soon as the tooth broke the skin her fever stopped and the runny nose has improved.
We had a long day yesterday. After church we had Kexton's baptism, which went very well. He is such a cutie. Then went to mama's for his birthday party. He was so cute opening all his presents. Jimmy's kids have all started soccer this year and they are on three different teams, so we are going to have a fun time this year with games. I am looking forward to going to them. I loved when they had baseball games. It was something we could do and Mackenzie loves to just run around outside. She is in love with boys. She loves any boys. When we go to mama's she is always where they are and kissing them. I have my hands full already. Shaylin is such the little mama though. I snuck in the front room to check on Mackenzie and Shaylin had her laying on one of the kids beds covering her up and pointing her finger at her saying now it is time for you to take a nap now. Needless to say that didn't last long, Kenzie wasn't having any of that. It is hard for me to believe Shaylin is old enough to tote and play house. I remember when she was Kenzie's age and I couldn't stop playing with her. It doesn't seem to be that long ago.

Where do I send my child again?

I go to pick up my daughter from school yesterday and she is looking very tired. I pick her up and immediately come to the conclusion she is running a fever. I Get her home and sure enough 102.5. I Thought how did they not know she had a fever that high? But I guess the point is she has a fever and no other symptoms except a runny nose. She acts fine other than that. Maybe she is finally cutting her other top teeth. Let's hope. When she cut her bottom ones she was extremely sick with a bad cold and 103 fever. A mother can hope can't she. I'll let you know how she does this weekend.

GoldFish

My child is addicted to Goldfish. I have to hide them most of the time. She saw them this morning in the car and of course immediately started persisting until I gave her some. She also loves to be tickled and thinks that I am her jungle gym. She loves for me to sit on the floor and let her climb all over me.
Another random thought...When you are getting on the interstate nothing bothers me more than for the traffic you are trying to merge into will not get in the other lane, even when no one else is there. I hate that. That is really a pet peeve of mine. Also why do people that are turning right at a red light not go when they can obviously go? They have to wait until it is green to turn. Another thing, why do people insist on not passing a cop on the interstate. They will slow down to 60 if need be and putt putt behind him all scared. I think the cops slow down, just to get a kick out of the idiot that is scared to pass. I am not scared of them, and maybe that is why I have gotten so many tickets...But I am not scared of those punks(no offense Wayne, I love you). I will pass them going five miles over the speed limit and on my cell phone. I know they think...she's a show off.

Has anyone bought this?

I was wondering is anyone has this for their child? I was kinda starting to look for christmas...I know kinda early, but I will probably change my mind by then. We also have to be sure of what we want when we write Santa. If anyone has any suggestions, she will be 20 months by then.

This is her and me after finger painting pictures for granddaddy's birthday.

Kids World 2007

First want to tell my daddy Happy Birthday. He turned 63 on Sunday. We had a good time eating ice cream and cake. It was nice to be able to get together with more family than just Heidi an me. I love having my brother home.
Saturday I met up with my friend from high school and went to Kids World 2007. We had a good time. Mackenzie and Jackson play really well together and they couldn't stop kissing each other. We didn't take enough pictures but the kids enjoyed themselves. They, well We went down this big blow up slide thing and Jackson didn't really care to much for it, but Kenzie screamed when I took her off it. She is such a little dare devil, not much scares her...execpt SpiderMan for some reason.
On our way home we stopped by my mama's and visited with them for a while. I ended up helping Amanda tear off the wallpaper in the bathroom. It was fun, because underneath the paper was writings from my sisters and their friends with dates from 1984. I was only 3 then. So yes the wallpaper needed to come down. We didn't get it all, but one night I am going to go up and help after the Kenzie is alseep, so I can be completely devoted to it. She has been such a leech lately. She wants me right beside her at all times right now. I love all the attention, but not when I am trying to pee or cook dinner.

Yesterday I tried to let Mackenzie finally try and feed herself. She can pick up things and feed herself very good...but the spoon is a little more difficult. She can put it in the stuff then in her mouth...but nothing sticks to the spoon. Well this is what she looked like after she ate...I am not sure how much she got in her. These are also some pictures of her swimming in the hot, hot pool. She only swam for about 20 minutes because the water was so hot.
I saw a bad wreck this morning on my way in to work, I don't think anyone survived. It was a single accident and the woman over corrected and flipped her expedition. I keep telling myself that that could have been me and to slow my butt down. I have really tried to work on it...but I have to make an conscious effort to do it.

New cousin

We had a good weekend. We went and spent some time with Jake's family and had a nice visit. Mrs. Brenda and me took Mackenzie to the little zoo in Hattiesburg. We rode the train and she loved that. She likes the birds best of all and called all the monkey's dogs. She is still trying to get them all straight. She just went around saying oh, oh, oh...really excited. We then took her to Toys R Us...She loved it. She played and played. Then we went swimming...but the water was to hot. It was hotter than her bath water. It is a shame when it is to hot to swim. It has been reaching record highs here this week...today it is 101 and you know the humidity is only about 110% Very hot and humid. Later that night we went to eat at a japanese steak house and she absolutley loved the cheif. He kept her entertained the whole time and she loved when He would make the grill catch on fire. She is a little dare devil. Well for those of you who don't know, Jake has two half sisters, from his daddy's side of the family. Well we finally got some pictures of his new neice and Kenzie's cousin...guess her name???? Emily Claire and she is so cute. Here are some pictures of her. I hope they get to meet one day and become friends. I am looking forward to getting to know her. Well back to work it is for me.

Almost Friday

Well yesterday I kinda made the mistake of letting Kenzie get full on drink and then she wouldn't eat anything for supper. We went to the gas station to get some gas and sometimes thy have Banana's and I always buy some...but Kenzie loves banana's and she throws a fit everytime she see's them...I mean a screaming, wailing around, can't hardly hold her fit. so yesterday I had an idea...I'd get her some Bug Juice ( just a little drink in a squirk bottle) and maybe I could sneak the banana's by her. Well then they were out of Banana's and I had already given her the drink and she wasn't giving it back anytime soon. So she didn't eat much for supper needless to say. I was able to keep her up to about 8 and she didn't want to go to bed then. She was showing off all her skills for her daddy. She has become quite attatched to him lately.

Fun weekend

We had a busy weekend. We started out Saturday by going to Laney's birthday party. Laney is my aunt Diane's little girl, she just turn 1. We had a good time at the park. She got lots of cute things and I think everyone had a good time. We came home...tried to take a nap:) and then mama and daddy picked us up and off to the little fair behind my grandmother's house. They have this little fair every year and I thought it would be fun...well turned out to be a blast. Kenzie loved it. She road a couple of little rides by herself and I didn't even have to stand beside her or anything. She never cried...she would laugh and point as she went by us. She had a wonderful time. She didn't like the carosel. She liked the train and loved the cotton candy. She had a hard time falling alseep. We didn't get to see Jimmy's kids ride anything, because if anyone knows my brother, he had to go home and take a shower and then come up. They got there around 9 and we left around 9:30. we had been there since 7 and I had forgotten a stroller. Kenzie was getting very restless and wanted to get down. Kayly said they had a good time and they filled me in on the rides they went on the next day. I wished we could have watched them. Jake started his new shift Sunday...It was different, but I think we will like it. It is hard to get used to working 12 hour shifts, but I think it will be worth it. OH, I almost forgot, I had a hard time Saturday morning...I thought oh, I am a strong person, I can handle my dog and my baby, so I decided to take them both to the vet, alone. Well if anyone has ever lead a basset hound on a leash will know they are extremely strong animals. He is like an ox and pulls everywhere he goes. Just as I get the front door of the vet's office open, he starts to go in and then quickly changes his mind..zoom the other direction. I am expecting this naturally so I move Kenzie who is waiting patiently by my side until I have to pick her up and man handle Phil in the vet. He is none to happy by this point and shaking like a leaf. They take us in the back and while they are cutting his nails I hear him go nuts and I stick my head out the door and I asked very upset(not at the staff, but at Phil) Did he try to bite her...no they said, but he was making such a racket that we put a muzzle on him. Shannon(the only one he will let touch his feet) was off that day. I was upset with him for that I guess I will have to call a head to make sure she is there when I take him..oh, and not wait two months to have them cut. When I was Pregnant I took him every two weeks like I am supposed to, but I have been very slacked. Well then the doctor comes in and bends down to look at his hairless spot on his paw and Phil pee's everywhere...he has never done that before. so He gave me some med. to put on it. and then some lady and her child help me get my two very spoiled and rotten youngens in the car. I was so relieved to be done with that.
I told you lots going on this weekend.
love you, Em

Out of Air

Well yesterday was a nice hot day here in the good ole' south. My day was running along smoothe and fine. I was going to meet the lady keeping Mackenzie at Wal-Mart and we would shop a while and off to the house to hit the sheets early. I was so worn out. Well, I was on the road home talking to my best friend when I heard a strange noise. First I thought the road was a little worn out, then I noticed my car was getting harder to handle. I pulled over and sure enough a flat tire at 5:30 in the evening...the hottest time of day. I was about 1/2 mile from town on the interstate and remembered that a man I work with would be coming along soon behind me. Well sure enough I got him on the phone and he came to help me.m It took us quite some time to get everything in place and start jacking up the car. When what do you know the Jack want lift it up high enough, so we got his jack to help the rest of the job...well this is working until I noticed that the new jack was making it lean a little...I mention to him (a man) that it is going to fall and he ignores me (nothnig new) and what happens, you guessed it, it fell. But no one was hurt. About this time I get mama and daddy on the phone who just happened to be at walmart and got the baby for me and Mama says hey we have triple A they can do it for you. So they come and the guy I work with leaves...well 20 minutes later dressed in his sunday best, the repair man comes...who naturally daddy knows by first name. within 10 minutes I am back on the road to home. By this time it was after 7 and I was completely worn out, dirty, and sweeting bullets. I feed Mackenzie some spagetti and we jumped in the tub together(1st time ever). We were so filthy. She goes on to sleep and i pass out in the recliner for a while and then off to bed at 9:30. I am still exhausted today and it is so hot today. it is h0tter than yesterday...temp is 98 in my car at lunch, yuck. Well thank goodness it is Friday. I am looking forward to naps tomorrow and sunday.

Happy Birthday

Well today is a special day in our house. It is Phil's 4th birthday. So yes, I made him a cake and got him two squeaky toys and some raw hide bones...this morning I woke him up with his presents and a hot dog...me and Jake sang him happy birthday and he just couldn't stop waging his tail. I know he is just a dog to most people, but to us he is our child. He is a special member of our family. We love him very much. Mackenzie's diaper rash is so much better...I think that the Vaseline I have been using is what has done the trick. She seems so much happier...still a little chapped but not red anymore. She is finally sleeping all night. She may wake up occasionally and cry out for a minute and then you will hear her singing to herself. She has always hummed herself to sleep. Sometimes it gets aggravating at 3 in the morning. I was up until about 12:30 last night doing laundry of all things. My couch had turned into the laundry basket and it was overflowing on the couch and so I decided I was going to Iron too while I was folding and hanging up. I don't know what got into me, I don't Iron unless I have to. I started at around 8:30 and watched The Young and the Restless while I was at it and the time just flew by. I was going to change the sheets on our bed, but by the time Jake got home, I could have cared less if there were sheets at all. I was so worn out. Well got to get back to work :)
