Fun at Nanny and Granddaddy's

This year with so many grandchildren living so close mama and daddy decided to get all the kids together and decorate their tree and make cookies. They had a good time and it was good for mama and daddy to have the kids by themselves. They missed the ones that weren't there though. I am so glad that some of my family lives here, it's nice to have family around.

Losing a baby is never easy

My aunt miscarried at 18 weeks and it has been very hard for her. We had a graveside service for the baby yesterday. It was freezing outside. I don't think it matters when you lose a child either before or after you meet them...it has to be incredibly hard. I hope to never experience that kind of pain. We kept her little girl for a couple days while she was in the hospital. She is about 4 months younger than Kenzie. They had a good time. Here is some pictures of Kenzie and Laney and then of Kenzie and Tripp yesterday. Of course Kenzie wouldn't do right. Imagine that.

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so for those of you who live where you see snow all winter long this isn't exciting news. I can only remember it snowing here in Mississippi not even 10 times in my 28 years of life. So that is pretty amazing. I am just so glad I am a stay at home mama now. I hate driving in this junk. It is a pretty snow and not just slushy nasty watery snow. It's been snowing pretty hard for a couple hours. Kenzie just couldn't wait to go out and build a snowman like Caillou! But it isn't quite enough for that yet. It took me about 10 minutes to get her all bundled up and about 5 minutes outside to tell me she was cold and wanted to go back inside. I wouldn't let Tripp go out. He is still coughing so I don't want him in this junk. Plus it's hard with only one set of arms and he can't even sit up for very long yet.

Learning Website

Just wanted to let everyone know about a website that is really fun and helpful with Kenzie. She really likes it. She also likes www.sproutonline.com and www.pbskids.com. But this one is really good. It is www.starfall.com . It helps them recognize their letters and it has fun games for them to play. We played it last night for about 10 minutes before bed and she told me she wanted Apple Juice instead of milk, which never happens. We only did A and B last night. She was saying A says a. A apple and A alligator. I can already tell a difference even after 10 minutes. Just thought you might like it.

Stomach Virus

If anyone knows how to help a six month old with the stomach virus plus teething please let me know. He is so cranky I want to pull my hair out!!! He did okay last night only got up twice, but he has not wanted to let me put him down today much. He did let me change out the laundry and load the dishwasher. That was nice. Well I need to get going, my oldest Kenzie wants to play the Dora Game! And of course she comes first!!!

Reconnect with the Blogging World

I finally get to reconnect with everyone else. I am so excited to be able to get online at home now. I will finally get to upload the pictures from Halloween and then some others I have taken. We have not been up to much but stomach virus's. Jake was sick the other night and still not much better today. He is worn out. I am worn out from taking care of him and the kids I am exhausted. Didn't know a 31 year old would be such a baby...but that is the sickest he has been since we have been married. The kids are growing so much. Kenzie is talking all the time now and uses new words and phrases all the time. She can do so much now. It has gone by so fast. Tripp is rolling everywhere and trying to sit up some. He can sit up with help, but not too good alone yet. He has finally started talking more and babbling alot. He loves to stand up and think he is big like his big sister. He thinks she hung the moon. They are really cute together. I have been busy just trying to get ready for Christmas. I am so excited this year, because Kenzie really gets Christmas and is so excited for it. It will be really fun this year.

Halloween

We had a good time this year for Halloween. The kids had fun dressing up and it was nice to have two to take this year. We went to the church for a Fall Festivile and had a good time. Then on Friday we went to mama's and had a hayride in the woods and the kids got a little scared on the way...some gobblins and monsters were out in the woods chasing us!!! Kenzie hid under her blanket...just like me!!! Then we stopped and had a bonfire with hotdogs and smores...Lots of good conversations and just fun hanging out with my sisters and brother. Jake's mama came up and she had a blast. I am so glad she got to come up and spend some time with us.

We started last monday and we have had dry panties for 4 days now. I am so proud of her. Well Tripp is growing and he is finally starting to pay attention and really become alert and he has smiled at us a couple times. He is just a joy and a real blessing. It's hard for me to think that I have two kids now. I will try to post more later.

Due Date

I had an Ultrasound yesterday and the baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead. He is 5 lbs 7 oz. and my new due date is June 13. I am having a C-section so at least 10 days before that. I am getting nervous and excited all at the same time. Lot's of emotions going on. Cry very easily! I go to the Doctor on Tuesday for my regular appointment, so I'm sure we will go ahead and schedule the C-section. So in 4 weeks or less we will have little or "Big" Tripp here.

Baby update

I went to the doctor yesterday. So far gained 24lbs...gained 1 lbs in two weeks (very proud of that). My blood pressure was great 100/75. They did a test to see if I was leaking Amniotic Fluid and it was negative. The heartbeat was great and strong and he is moving alot. I am measuring 34 weeks which is 3 weeks ahead of where I should be. I am 31 weeks according to my due date of June 28th. But according to when I think I got pregnant it is right on with June 9. I am having an ultrasound on Monday to see how big this boy really is. I swear he is huge. But I will give you more of an update on him on Tuesday when I get through my appointment. My last day of work is May 23. Kinda scary now only 3 more weeks of work.

Did someone say Turkey?

Jake has never been Turkey hunting until this year, and he has really tried to get in to it. He has been practicing and practicing his call for months...MONTHS now. He finally got a Turkey this morning. He is tickled to death. I am too...because Turkey season is almost over! Just wanted to let everyone see his latest accomplishments.

Update

Well I finally got my test results back from my Gestational Diabeties test...and I am not diabetic with this pregnancy. I am so glad my doctor made me take the three hour and not just assume like I wanted to that I was diabetic since I failed the one hour. Now I don't have to worry about being a special diet. I just still need to watch what I eat so I don't gain too much weight. So far so good with that.

30 Weeks and Ready

Okay so 30 weeks and ready....hmmm maybe. I am starting to get a little nervous about two babies, but so excited to meet this little guy I've been bonding with for the past 30 weeks. I went to the doctor and I have gained 23lbs and doing pretty good. The baby sounds great, and moving great. I am finally measuring right on at 30 weeks, so he is growing good. he is running out of room in there. I failed the one hour diabetes test..go figure! So I had the three hour today...boy that stunk. But the nurses were really nice and I saw some old friends so not to boring. I don't know how I did yet, but I am sure I failed it too. So I don't know if they are going to let me do it with diet or if I will have to take Insulin shots. They also put me on Iron pills. They didn't do that with Kenzie. Kenzie thinks she has a baby "brober" in her belly too. She is starting to really talk about him alot. But I don't think she has a clue that a real baby is going to come out of my belly and move into her little world. I hope she does well.

Last year and this year

This is last year's party and then this year's party. Boy what a difference a year makes.

Happy Birthday

I can't believe my little girl is two. She turned two a couple weeks ago, but we had her party Saturday. She had a better time this time than last party. I think she was just completely overwhelmed last year. I had to get some balloons blown up before her party, so I decided to wait until the last minute....Surprised? Well on our way to get them blown up, I get pulled over for speeding. I though I had ran the stop sign, but I guess I was going 41 in a 25? hmmm not too sure, but probably. Okay, so this lady knows I'm in a hurry and then gets on her cell phone just to piss me off I'm sure. I was nice though. We then go to get the balloons, I leave Jake and Kenzie in the car, and when I get back in Jake says more good news...the park where we were going to have the party has like three other parties there and there are like 100 or more kids there. No way!! so I thought really fast and we went to the park behind my grandmother's house. I often forget this place...it is where I had so many memories as a kid, riding bikes and skating and skateboarding. I think we spent most of our younger years there. It is a bigger park, but to be honest it was actually better there than the other one would have been. The kids had so much fun, and lot's of room to run and play. There wasn't anyone there until almost the end of the party. It was kinda chilly when we first got there, then the sun came out and it was beautiful couldn't have asked for a better day. Kenzie didn't cry one time and had a blast. I made the cake and mama came over Friday night and helped me decorate it...It turned out pretty good, for my first time, and mama's first time in like 20 years. We were up until midnight, and had a good time together. I was glad she helped me. We both had black teeth, from eating some of the black icing. It was a good memory maker for us.
The time has sure flown by and I can't wait for all the years to come...okay, maybe skip teenage year's!!!! Any offers for her at about 13- 16 year's old would be considered!!! Just kidding. She sure is growing and learning more everyday. It seems like yesterday, she was just born and we had the crying that you couldn't understand and all the emotions of a first time mama...and now we are almost with two little ones and it feels somewhat unreal to us. We wouldn't trade the mo's mo's (eskimo's or fish kisses) for anything. I am even glad for the tantrums at times...at least she is right on track and still on this earth with us. I love you Mackenzie Grace so much!

A Year Ago Today

A year ago today my little precious one was in an operating room having her extra thumbs removed. We were really worried about the whole thing....she loved sucking her left thumbs. How was she going to do with two arms in casts up to her armpits for 14 days? How was she going to make it with out her precious security of her thumbs? Well I want you to know it was great. She was great. She never complained, she never whined about it, she was a great trooper and it broke the sucking thumb habit and has never tried to suck them since. I am so glad we had the surgery and I am anxious to see if the new baby will have something similar. I hope not, but if he does then we will just deal with it. It is still a thought in my mind though, but I guess everyone has similar fears of what the unknown is...and this little busy body of a boy is defiantly unknown. I can't wait to met him!
