Preschool Parade

Kenzie had a patriotic parade with her school on the 11th. It was fun, we got to decorate her bike and ride down from the church to the bank and then back...lots of parents and the kindergarten was there to watch. Ha ha...I thought yeah she can do it....But I was so mistaken...she couldn't pedal the whole way, so I had to push her and pull her....good thing I am so short...and not 6'4 like Jake...he would have just made her walk. My back was killing me :) She had fun anyway and we had a good laugh at my butt in the air for they whole town to see. And the second picture...yeah she is supposed to be going straight...not across the road...drives like her mama already.

First Day of School

This was Tripp before I took Kenzie to school :)

Kenzie started preschool the first part of August. She absolutely loves it. The first week Tripp cried everyday for the whole three hours she was gone. Now he has become a mama's boy again. He loves the one on one time he gets with me now, and I like it too. I get so much done and get to play with just him and not a three and half year old wanting to be a baby :( Kenzie is learning so much, the other day she was in the car and she was reciting the Months of the year. Then she was reading to herself and was reciting the Pledge of Allegiance...the whole thing by her self! I was totally amazed. But when you ask her what she learned she tells you nothing! But she is so smart...I am so glad she gets to go to preschool at 3...it's been really good for her and me!

Tripp also had his 3rd Haircut and it was not a buzz this time. They cut it like a regular boys haircut. He looks so handsome now!

Been quiet busy this last couple of months. I have been babysitting still...going crazy!!!!! We had Tripp's 1 year old party on July 17 with Turner's 6th party. I know he was one in May. But with Jake's schedule at work and then Jennifer was coming down, we just waited. He didn't know either way. Kenzie was in a wedding on Saturday, she was the flower girl...and I think she was just beautiful. She did really good and I was very proud of her....Tripp didn't do so hot at the wedding. He is begining to be a real handful and on top of his already terrible 1's he is cutting 3 teeth. So he is extra cranky. Fun for me! I am having about 13 moles removed on Wednesday. They are putting me to sleep because there are so many and of where they are. We have a history of Melonomia cancer in my family and I have a mole on the bottom of my foot and some irregular ones other places. I am kinda nervous about it. I have never been put to sleep before. I sure do need the rest though!! Ha ha...I am sure I want feel rested though.

Easter

We went to my mother-n-laws for Easter...of course Jake had to work. So me and kiddo's loaded up. We had a good time. Easter egg hunts and we got to get together with my brother in law Brice and Megan and Marlee. She and Kenzie actually got along this time. She is now 18 months old and that helps...they can actually play and kinda talk to each other, she isn't a baby anymore. Tripp didn't understand anything this year, but Kenzie sure did. I tried to get a pic of them Easter morning, but Kenzie didn't want to do right, so this is the best I got.

Princess Kenzie is 3

Well it has been a busy couple of weeks around here. Not much exciting going on, just life and daily things. Kenzie had her third birthday on Monday. We had a party and she loved it. She was really specific this year with exactly what she wanted to have. She wanted a barbie cake with brown hair not yellow hair and a pink and blue dress. She also wanted Belle and Tinkerbell to be there. Well we didn't get them in person but they were there in pictures. She was so excited this year it was fun to watch her. She got a Snow White dress and some dress up shoes from maw maw and granny and she just twirled the dress around and around. So girly. She had to wear her shoes to conference on Sunday. We normally don't go to the church and watch it, but Shaylin got baptised after so we made the trip.
What to say about my amazing, smart, sweet, funny, beautiful little girl. She lights up my life. I am so blessed to have you in our family. We love your little spirit and how thoughtful you always try to be. You love your Heavenly Father very much...that makes me so proud. You are usually good to your brother, but since he has become mobile you really are showing him who is boss, which sometimes results in a time out, or another form of punishment. You love to sing and dance...although I think you take after me in those areas...not very coordinated :) You are scared of heights and will not get on your daddy's shoulders. You aren't scared of much. You love to help and call your self such a big helper. Your vocabulary amazes me everyday. You come up with new phrases and words I didn't even think you knew. You like to be just like me and say everything and do almost everything I do. You really look up to your daddy. You try to imitate his Turkey Calls and even have found yourself your own. Even though they are really straws. You love to change your clothes and have become quiet specific about what you want to wear and what you don't. You love shoes!!!!!! You love flip flops like me and hate socks. You wear your pj's most of the time. Getting you to eat is still a challenge, but we get through it everyday. You will not try new foods! You only eat a couple of different things...sometimes I think you will just starve to death. You love dolls and baby dolls. You play house very well. I watch you pretend play with your barbies and little go anywhere dolls and you remind me so much of me when I was little. It makes me want to be little again so we can play. You love taking showers with me. I can hardly get one alone anymore. You sing and play in the "Rain" (shower). It is easier to wash your hair. You have become more snugly this past year, which I love. I have to sing you a princess song every night. You help me make up the words as we go.
Our family has been so blessed to have you and we love you very much. I can't imagine life without you. I hope you always stay close to us an to your Heavenly Father. We love you my little princess.

Okay so I am "Lazy"

Okay, so I know I haven't exactly been keeping you up to date on our lives. But we are just busy with kids and life. I am keeping two kids now and adding a third in a couple of weeks. I have Darby who is three and Madilynn who is 10 months, It is just like having two sets of Twins.....I know I may sound crazy, but they are really so good together and really enjoy each other. I have been busy with them. It's like working 48 hours a day. HA HA! I really enjoy being home with my babies. It has been nice to really get to know them and to have them attached to my hips and legs and back. I know that someday they will tell me they hate me and they won't want to give me the constant attention and kisses and hugs. So i try to enjoy all of them now. Jake has been getting ready for Turkey season. He is really excited this year. I hope he does well and gets a couple birds. He has been practicing his calls and checking their roost out. He has been busy working all the over time he can get. We are just glad he still has a job. His schedule is changing again so they are going back to 8 hour shifts again. But maybe it will be like last time and they will get to work the 12 hour weekends which means 48 hours of overtime on each check...That is something to look forward to. I am glad I am able to stay home because if I worked I don't know if I would get to spend any time with him. We are doing great. Our relationship as a couple has really strengthen since I had Tripp. I am so grateful to my wonderful family. I had a chance to go to Utah and spend some time with my sister Misty and her kids. What an awesome experience that was. I was so glad she asked me to watch her kids while she went on a Cruise. I was able to build a stronger bond with my nieces and nephew that I don't get to see very much. I was also able to spend some one on one time with Misty and that was so nice. I love my family and miss her so much. We were always close growing up. I got to see my sister Tammie and her kids at Kevin and Jolene's and that was nice. Jennifer and Brad and kids came too and it was nice to get together and visit and just spend some time as a family. Jay came down to stay one night with me at Misty's and we had a really good time staying up late and talking. It was nice to talk to her and visit with just her. Too bad I didn't get to with Tammie...but she works like crazy and couldn't. But maybe next trip. Daddy gave us a scare this year. He has never been sick before really my whole life and since he has had prostate cancer he has a lower immune system and he got Shingles on the right side of his face and in his right ear. They were in his mouth and they caused him great pain and they gave him Bales Palsy on that side of his face. He look like he had had a stroke. He is doing 90% better and that makes me grateful everyday. We had a close call with Jake's Granny. We almost lost her a couple of times. She is doing great now and is in a rehab place. She will come home next week. She isn't allowed to stay by herself so she is moving in with Mrs. Brenda. I am so glad that she will be close now and we will get to see her more often. It was nice to spend some time with her this weekend. Well the kids are doing great. Tripp is army crawling and pulling up on everything and cruising around the couch and bed. He is growing so fast. He eats everything. He loves his mama and daddy and Kenzie very much. Kenzie is almost three. She is very smart and she has a great memory and imagination. She is very much a girly girl and loves princess's. She is a good big sister. She is getting to go to preschool in August and is so excited.

Busy

I am so sorry for not posting sooner...I have actually been very busy. Christmas was great this year. We had a wonderful time. It was fun for me this year, because Kenzie actually got it this year. Santa called her on the phone and she heard him ho ho ho outside. She couldn't get to sleep fast enough.
We went on our first camping trip this year. Tripp stayed at my mama's and we went with my brother and his family and Heidi's kids. Heidi's idea of camping is staying at the Marriot. Well it was a nice 34 degrees the night we went. The girls were in my tent and the boys in Jimmy's tent. We (the adults) were playing a freezing game of Mexican Train domino's when Jimmy's youngest starts throwing up all over everyone. So at 1 in the morning they pack their three boys up and head home. We moved Turner in our tent and tuffed it out. I woke up at about 4 and couldn't hold it anymore...I had to pee so bad. I woke everyone in the tent up trying to get someone to go out with me and pee....I am not real fond of the dark. So Kayly braved it with me. We really never got cold. Kenzie slept really good sharing a sleeping bag with me. I am surprised, she usually drives me crazy to sleep with her.
I have been keeping a little girl named Maddilyn. She is almost 9 months old. She is about 1 month older than Tripp. She is so cute and a great baby. Tripp actually enjoys her being here. He is trying to hard to crawl. He is also cutting his bottom teeth. He has one and then the other is almost through. He is sitting up really good now, but can't get himself to a sitting position. He is also ready for a haircut. It is crazy. He has wild hair like Kenzie and Me did, but his doesn't need to grow out so It will get cut soon.
Kenzie is really coming into her southern accent now...most everything she says has two or more syllables more than it is meant to. Like House has two and yeah. She has a really strong drawl. It is so funny to hear her talk now. She asked me tonight what dress up meant...and when I explained it to her, she said oh, I love dress up it's my favorite.
