Just for starters

I guess I should start trying this stuff. I always check everyone else to help keep track of what is going on in the lives of the ones I care about that live to far away.
Jake(my husband) got a new job . I am excited...a steady income...we have never had one of those before. We have been married for 4 years and have a almost 4 year old bassett hound named Phil and a 16month old daughter named Mackenzie. We live in the town I grew up in. It is very small. We have just about one stop sign and we just made a record of 2,000 people in the city limits. I love the small little towns. My brother just moved home with his four children and I am very happy for that. It has been wonderful to have more family move home. They are in the long process of building a house. They will eventually be only about 2 miles from us. I do have one sister Heidi that lives close too....we see each other often and I love knowing that family is right down the road.
Mackenzie is very active an learning more everyday. She is so smart some times. She is really understanding when you talk to her now. She is in love with Nutragrain bars and just plain bread. She will eat two to three of them at a time. I have to hide them most times. She isn't really picky once I can get her to try something to eat. I have to put Ketchup on most things to start with. She is still limited on what real food I can feed her...she only has 2 1/2 teeth. Her eye tooth is starting to come in and she has the bottom two. She loves to dance and she directs music all the time. She also loves to feed Phil...who I have to watch very close( he is OCD about food) I don't want him to bite her.
I am great. I am trying to get used to Jake's schedule right now, just for it to change next week. I am so excited for this new adventure of ours.
