Looks whose 1

It has been busy busy busy around here. Jake's working all the time now, they had a lay off and he survived(thank goodness) but that means we see less of him...but I would rather see him less than see him everyday, while we live at my mama's!!!! I am happy staying right here at home, where I am spoiled to mama duty which is incredibly taxing, exhausting, wonderful, emotional in so many ways, and I wouldn't change it for anything. I get a nap almost everyday with my favorite little guy! Yes I still take naps with them and I don't want to stop! Mackenzie is in Kindergarten and loves it! She is doing so great. Spelling all the time, trying to read more and more, and trying out math! She says things to me about words, like this is a compound word, and I have to literally think what in the world is a compound word!!! Okay so then I think that maybe I do need to go back into the Real world....no way! Tripp is finally adjusting to preschool and loves it most days. He is still a mama's boy! He loves TV....I will find him in his room all snuggled under his covers watching TV. He also is all boy and is rough and loves motorcycles, trucks, 4 wheelers, any sport! He is learning to recognize his letters and his name. He tries to right it. He is getting better at working on the computer which I think has helped his confidence alot more. Tucker is just precious still. He is generally happy all the time. Loves everyone and will talk to anybody(got that from me). He loves to put a laundry basket upside down and stand on it and talk his language! He climbs on everything and anything. It's really scary sometimes. He smiles everytime you look at him which just melts my heart. He is learning and growing so fast, I just want it to slow down.

Just growing too fast

Mackenzie started Kindergarten last week and loves it! She gets to ride the bus home and that's exciting for her. I feel comfortable with her riding it, because it takes her all of 10 minutes to get home, my neices and nephews ride it, and the bus driver was driving my sisters and brothers to school...old family friend. Tripp started preschool today and he has already gotten in trouble twice that they told me about. He said he was not going to go to school anymore! He yelled at his teacher and tore up some wipes. AAAAHHHHHH!!!! He is my stresser! But cute as can be so that makes it hard to stay mad for very long.. He better get his act together though, cause it's gonna be a long year! Tucker is walking everywhere now and into everything. He thinks that he is big now and can do what the big kids can do. he love to follow the kids around and tries to play with them. He is still a sweet baby and has me wrapped around his fingers! Me and Jake are doing great just getting into a new routine with the kids and I think it's going to be a great year!

Tucker's Blessing

We have had a busy month with Thanksgiving and getting ready for Christmas. We had Tucker blessed on the Dec. 5th. He is such a sweet baby and such a joy to have. I am so glad the Lord knew we needed him in our family. We love you Tucker.

Tucker Elliott Martin

Tucker is here and I am in love with him. He was 8lbs 7oz and has lots of dark hair. He is amazing. I love to just look at him except last night when he was up all night long. ha ha...just kidding I couldn't look at him I was falling asleep feeding him, couldn't keep my eyes open. He loves to eat and be held. He looks so much like my other two kids, but different at the same time. I love him and I am doing great. The kids love him and Kenzie can't get enough of him. Wants to hold him all the time.

37 weeks and miserable

I am now 37 weeks and getting more and more anxious by the day...okay minute!! I am so ready to be able to move with ease again. I did however get a new dishwasher which I have only used it once, but boy oh boy, it's awesome! Our other one broke about 5 months ago and it wasn't a big deal until now. I takes me about an hour to was normal everyday dishes. I have to take so many breaks it's stupid! That has been the highlight of the week for me. The kids are taking full advantage of me not being able to chase them around. Kenzie has started soccer and her first game is Monday, I am so excited to watch her play in her first game. She loves preschool this year and is just growing up way to fast. She is a sweet girl and loves her brother and is a big help with him. Tripp is all boy!!! I mean down to wrestling with kenzie and pulling her to the floor to cuddling with his mama and daddy. He is a sweet boy, but can be so devilish at the same time. He is my big helper in the morning while Kenzie is at school. Jake has been a huge help lately. I think him being home more with this pregnancy and me not working he gets to see how hard it really is sometimes. I am so big that I just can't do the everyday things with ease anymore! He has really stepped up to the daddy and husband role. Not the pampering type, but has really tried hard to make it easier for me. I love him and my kids so much. Tucker is just getting bigger and bigger everyday. I can feel him everywhere now, low to high. every nook and cranny is filled with some body part. He just roles arounds now, and my stomach looks like an alien has taken over it some times. We are anxiously awaiting his arrival I hope that will be the 17th, no promises from the dr though.

Three more weeks

This was at 32 weeks. My sister took this picture of me. Tucker measured 4.10 at this visit. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he said we have about three and a half weeks left. We are hoping to get to 38 weeks, but my body might not hold out that long. I really have felt great, except for the uncontrolable urge to eat ice. I eat it all day long. I am not really uncomfortable yet, most days I am good, until I try to clean to much. My belly is so big it rests on my legs now almost all the time, even when laying down. We are thinking Tucker is going to be about 8 lbs, especially if we make it to 38 weeks. Tripp was 7,10 at 36 weeks so we will see about this one. I am measuring about 1 and half weeks ahead. We are excited and nervous about this new addition. The kids think they are ready, but they have no idea what is instore.

WELL IT'S A.....

ANOTHER BOY!!! We had our ultrasound today and the baby looks great and we are having another boy. We are excited and nervous about two boys...but Tripp really needs a brother to rough house with. I don't think that hills and bows are his thing so this will be good for him! It was actually really nice to see the baby today. I haven't been really excited about this pregnancy. It was a total shock to us. We are on the pill and were not wanting anymore kids. I gave everything away and so now I am starting over again. But we will be tying my tubes this time! ha ha...maybe that will work. I have had a great pregnancy so far no complaints except for excessive hunger and my hands falling asleep when I sleep. That is quiet a pain, but I am half way there so hopefully we can handle it a little longer. My body feels great as far as the baby and things are concerned so far. I mean the baby only weighs 10 oz right now. I have gained 8 lbs so far I hope not to pack it on the at the end. Kenzie is really excited she got to go today and see the baby but Tripp he just doesn't quiet get it!!!

Not a baby!

Wow! Time has sure flown by. My baby is not a baby anymore, she is a little girl that just turned 4. Kenzie turned 4 on the 6th and we had her party today. It was so much fun. She is growing up so fast and is so smart and silly! She is caring and sweet! She loves Barbies and Polly Pockets. She loves her cousins and her brother. They are really close. I just can't beleive how big she is. She will be in Kindergarten next year. I just can't believe it. Wow!!! I love you Mackenzie Grace...AKA "Yellow Kate"...Not sure why she changed her name ;)

New Life

We have been very busy around here lately it seems. Jake had surgery in December and was off from work for about 4 weeks so it was nice to have him home, but nice for him to go back to work...He was kinda getting cabin fever. Me and Jake went to Gatlinburg, TN in October for a little getaway and it was so nice and much needed. The holidays were good and busy. My sister Misty was down for Thanksgiving along with my uncle Kevin and his family so we spent as much time with them as possible. We spent our time between my family and Jake's as always. It was really nice this year.
We are expanding our little family to five in October. We are 10 weeks pregnant and starting to get over the shock of failed birth control...but I know Heavenly Father knows what he is doing! The kids started off February with ginvotistomatis or some crazy word like that....they had ulcers all in their mouths. Gums were bloody and swollen. Little Tripp couldn't even hardly see his teeth his gums were so swollen. Then Kenzie gets it a week later and finally starts to cut her two year molars on top at the same time as the ulcers. There was lots of crying and not just my children. Ha ha! Yes, emotional rollercoaster over at the Martin house. Then on Sunday I was so graciously coughing and apparently you can cough so hard that you pull a muscle in your back!!!!! Yes, It can happen and it did to me. Severe pain is all I can say. I went to the doctor and he put me on bed rest for 48 hours. How do you take care of two kids when on bed rest for 2 days and your husband is working nights!!!!!!! Well you call your mama who takes off work and keeps them. I don't know what I would do without my mama. I love her and my daddy, they are so supportive and they are always there to help me when I need them. They have been real lifesavers this week. My sister in law picked me up on Monday to take me to dr. and drove me all over town running errands, while Jake played Mr. Mom...which was very good for him and the kids. He doesn't do it very often and it was really nice for me!
My poor sister Heidi's kids are sick also. Shaylin has the ulcer's in her mouth and has lost 10 pounds so far...not that she didn't need to, she's a little on the chunky side :) Then Turner gets the flu and Heidi starts to run fever and feel awful. And Joey her husband is at work off shore for three weeks! We send each other whinny text all day long about our ills...then try to make jokes to keep our spirits up...being house bound is not for us!
So needless to say these past few weeks has been hard for me to get excited about this new little life coming into our family. One good thing has come out of it all...I got to hear the heartbeat on monday and that made it a little more exciting for me. I feel like a terrible mother, because I just don't want this baby right now. I know that it is just the terrible few weeks of cranky sick kids and mama...and little sleep that is contributing to the unwantedness of this tiny little miracle. I know that I will change my mind and I will love this little one just like the other two, But does that sound terrible for me to say! How horrible of a person am I for not wanting the greatest of all things the Lord could give me?

Preschool Parade

Kenzie had a patriotic parade with her school on the 11th. It was fun, we got to decorate her bike and ride down from the church to the bank and then back...lots of parents and the kindergarten was there to watch. Ha ha...I thought yeah she can do it....But I was so mistaken...she couldn't pedal the whole way, so I had to push her and pull her....good thing I am so short...and not 6'4 like Jake...he would have just made her walk. My back was killing me :) She had fun anyway and we had a good laugh at my butt in the air for they whole town to see. And the second picture...yeah she is supposed to be going straight...not across the road...drives like her mama already.

First Day of School

This was Tripp before I took Kenzie to school :)

Kenzie started preschool the first part of August. She absolutely loves it. The first week Tripp cried everyday for the whole three hours she was gone. Now he has become a mama's boy again. He loves the one on one time he gets with me now, and I like it too. I get so much done and get to play with just him and not a three and half year old wanting to be a baby :( Kenzie is learning so much, the other day she was in the car and she was reciting the Months of the year. Then she was reading to herself and was reciting the Pledge of Allegiance...the whole thing by her self! I was totally amazed. But when you ask her what she learned she tells you nothing! But she is so smart...I am so glad she gets to go to preschool at 3...it's been really good for her and me!

Tripp also had his 3rd Haircut and it was not a buzz this time. They cut it like a regular boys haircut. He looks so handsome now!

Monday, July 20, 2009

Been quiet busy this last couple of months. I have been babysitting still...going crazy!!!!! We had Tripp's 1 year old party on July 17 with Turner's 6th party. I know he was one in May. But with Jake's schedule at work and then Jennifer was coming down, we just waited. He didn't know either way. Kenzie was in a wedding on Saturday, she was the flower girl...and I think she was just beautiful. She did really good and I was very proud of her....Tripp didn't do so hot at the wedding. He is begining to be a real handful and on top of his already terrible 1's he is cutting 3 teeth. So he is extra cranky. Fun for me! I am having about 13 moles removed on Wednesday. They are putting me to sleep because there are so many and of where they are. We have a history of Melonomia cancer in my family and I have a mole on the bottom of my foot and some irregular ones other places. I am kinda nervous about it. I have never been put to sleep before. I sure do need the rest though!! Ha ha...I am sure I want feel rested though.

Easter

We went to my mother-n-laws for Easter...of course Jake had to work. So me and kiddo's loaded up. We had a good time. Easter egg hunts and we got to get together with my brother in law Brice and Megan and Marlee. She and Kenzie actually got along this time. She is now 18 months old and that helps...they can actually play and kinda talk to each other, she isn't a baby anymore. Tripp didn't understand anything this year, but Kenzie sure did. I tried to get a pic of them Easter morning, but Kenzie didn't want to do right, so this is the best I got.

Princess Kenzie is 3

Well it has been a busy couple of weeks around here. Not much exciting going on, just life and daily things. Kenzie had her third birthday on Monday. We had a party and she loved it. She was really specific this year with exactly what she wanted to have. She wanted a barbie cake with brown hair not yellow hair and a pink and blue dress. She also wanted Belle and Tinkerbell to be there. Well we didn't get them in person but they were there in pictures. She was so excited this year it was fun to watch her. She got a Snow White dress and some dress up shoes from maw maw and granny and she just twirled the dress around and around. So girly. She had to wear her shoes to conference on Sunday. We normally don't go to the church and watch it, but Shaylin got baptised after so we made the trip.
What to say about my amazing, smart, sweet, funny, beautiful little girl. She lights up my life. I am so blessed to have you in our family. We love your little spirit and how thoughtful you always try to be. You love your Heavenly Father very much...that makes me so proud. You are usually good to your brother, but since he has become mobile you really are showing him who is boss, which sometimes results in a time out, or another form of punishment. You love to sing and dance...although I think you take after me in those areas...not very coordinated :) You are scared of heights and will not get on your daddy's shoulders. You aren't scared of much. You love to help and call your self such a big helper. Your vocabulary amazes me everyday. You come up with new phrases and words I didn't even think you knew. You like to be just like me and say everything and do almost everything I do. You really look up to your daddy. You try to imitate his Turkey Calls and even have found yourself your own. Even though they are really straws. You love to change your clothes and have become quiet specific about what you want to wear and what you don't. You love shoes!!!!!! You love flip flops like me and hate socks. You wear your pj's most of the time. Getting you to eat is still a challenge, but we get through it everyday. You will not try new foods! You only eat a couple of different things...sometimes I think you will just starve to death. You love dolls and baby dolls. You play house very well. I watch you pretend play with your barbies and little go anywhere dolls and you remind me so much of me when I was little. It makes me want to be little again so we can play. You love taking showers with me. I can hardly get one alone anymore. You sing and play in the "Rain" (shower). It is easier to wash your hair. You have become more snugly this past year, which I love. I have to sing you a princess song every night. You help me make up the words as we go.
Our family has been so blessed to have you and we love you very much. I can't imagine life without you. I hope you always stay close to us an to your Heavenly Father. We love you my little princess.

Lipstick

Kenzie came in after her bath looking like this:
